Types of Multistory Buildings

Residential Buildings:- all type of flats Commercial :- Commercial Complex, shopping center, hospital, flatted factory, etc In government sector :- all type of offices and other significant places Religious :- temples, institution of religious education, meditation center etc

Barring Temples, Multistoried building was not a custom in ancient times in India. Only temples were formed in multistory building from 1 to 12 stories. There were no electricity lifts and other related services. Therefore forts were generally 1 to 5 story only.

Maximum population lived in villages but now circumstances has been changing from few gems and maximum people are migrating from village to cities. Due to metropolitan city plans and population pressure on the city. It is necessary to build residential buildings so that minimum land is used by maximum people. In India 30 story building has constructed.

Barring multistory buildings there is no other option to fulfill the need of work and residence in city due to that population pressure. Hundreds of people live or work in a single multistory buildings approx. Therefore for the safety and convenience of those people it is much important to apply the vastu rules and provisions because any type of accident and incident give its effect on all people who live or work in concern building
